Admissions FAQs

If my child is undecided about high school, could a visit be planned?

Absolutely! We can arrange a tour Monday-Friday from between 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to tour campus while school is in session. Tours can be scheduled by emailing admissions@bishopmcdevitt.org

Can my student attend Bishop McDevitt even if we are not Catholic?

YES! The word “Catholic” means universal.  Students may attend McDevitt if they are not Catholic.  While attending Bishop McDevitt High School, all students are required to take four years of Religion classes, attend retreats, complete service hours, and show respect and reverence for our Catholic traditions.

Can I receive financial assistance to help with the cost of tuition?

Yes! Families requesting financial aid must fill out our financial aid applications which can be found on the Tuition & Affordability page of the website. Applications must be submitted by March 1 for the following school year.

Are there any fees associated with the Admission Application?

No.  A registration fee is only due after the student has received the official Registration and Tuition Agreement form.

What are the uniform guidelines?

Uniform guidelines can be found on the Flynn & O’Hara website.

Bishop McDevitt’s uniform is kept in stock at the Flynn & O’Hara Service Center, located at 869 Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg, PA 17111. Please call the store for more information or for service center hours: 717-939-5600. Online orders may also be placed by visiting www flynnohara.com or by calling 1-800-441-4122.

Is bus transportation provided?

Bishop McDevitt does not have its own fleet of buses.  We rely on the student’s home school districts to provide busing. Most of the surrounding public school districts provide busing within a 10-mile radius.  We recommend that parents contact the transportation department of their home public school district and ask specifically.  Once a student is officially registered and enrolled at Bishop McDevitt High School, we will take care of contacting the districts and setting up the busing—if it is provided.
