Welcome to Naviance Family Connection ​

Family Connection by Naviance is a comprehensive website that students can use to help in making decisions about colleges and careers. Through Family Connection, the Guidance Department will be able assist students in post-high school planning, managing their career planning, and navigating the college application process.  This new resource will enable users to track and analyze data about college and career plans and to provide up-to-date information that’s specific to Bishop McDevitt High School. 

Naviance/Family Connection is available to all of our students and families, as a complement to the series of individual appointments, college-related speakers, student information seminars we offer throughout the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Naviance Family Connection will allow students to:

• Get involved in the planning and advising process – Build a resume, complete on-line surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.

• Research careers – Career exploration tools and assessments.  Students can learn about themselves, linking personality types and interest with different careers.

• Research colleges – Compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from McD for students who have applied and been admitted in the past.

• Sign up for college visits – Find out which colleges are visiting McD and sign up to attend those sessions.

• Search local scholarship opportunities

• And much more

Naviance Family Connection also makes it easy to share information about upcoming meetings and events and other Web resources for college and career information. Students can also use the site to send McD counselors and college admission representatives an e-mail message.
