The Karam Library

The Edmund P. Karam (’50) Library at Bishop McDevitt High School offers students an attractive and contemporary space to research, collaborate on projects or study. The goal of the library staff is to teach students effective research skills across all formats and to nurture an appreciation of informative and leisure reading.

The library includes a collection of over 15,000 physical book and periodical titles, numerous e-books, and more than 30 online databases. The library and adjacent computer lab are used by many classes for research instruction throughout the day. We are open to students before, during and after school. Students may use their own chromebooks or borrow a device from the library to complete their schoolwork. They can also access the library’s catalog, e-books and online databases at any time and from any location through the McDevitt website.
