Fran Chardo has served as District Attorney of Dauphin County since 2018. He leads a staff of 31 prosecutors, 12 detectives, and 34 support staff.  He has been a prosecutor for over 28 years. 

Fran is an adjunct professor at Widener University Commonwealth Law Schooland serves as an advocacy instructor at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. 

In 2012, he received the Distinguished Faculty Award from the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute. 

Fran’s daughter, Catie, attends Bishop McDevitt.  His daughter, Sophie, attends St. Joan of Arc School, where his wife, Christine, teaches.
