Carmen Finestra has been a writer and producer for over 30 years. He is best known as the Supervising Producer of “The Cosby Show” for five-and-a-half seasons, and as the co-creator and Executive Producer of the sitcom “Home Improvement”, starring Tim Allen. In film, he was Executive Producer of “Where The Heart Is”, starring Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman, and “What Women Want”, with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt.
During his career, Finestra has won three Writers Guild of America Awards, and in 1987 shared a Peabody Award with the other Cosby writers for outstanding achievement in television writing. Carmen has also been nominated for six Emmys and two Golden Globes.
Carmen serves on several Boards, including Harrisburg University, the State Street Academy of Music, and the LFA Foundation.
He and his wife Tonia are both graduates of Bishop McDevitt High School and Penn State University.
