Reverend James Lease

Fr. James E. Lease is Pastor of St. Catherine Labouré Church in Harrisburg, PA. He is a graduate of the Penn State Schreyer Honors College and has earned a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State and the University of Delaware, respectively. He holds a Bachelor’s in Theology and a License in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

He has served as parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Parish in Lewistown, St. Theresa Parish in New Cumberland, and St. Joseph Parish in Hanover. He has served as Pastor at Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover and St. Joseph Parish in Danville. All of the parishes where he has served have had Catholic Schools. He has served as the chaplain of three Diocesan High Schools. He also serves as the Director for the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs and is a member of the Diocesan Presbyteral Council and College of Consultors.

He is the Chaplain of the Harrisburg Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and serves on the Executive Board of the Columbia-Montour Council. Fr. Lease is blessed to serve the Bishop McDevitt High School Family.
