Tennis - Girls

Christina Lacey, Head Coach Girls Tennis

Welcome to Bishop McDevitt High School Boys & Girls Tennis.  I am passionate about tennis and implement that into my coaching experience.

My coaching career began in the spring of 2013 with the Bishop McDevitt Boys Team.  The number of players has steadily increased each year, allowing me to spread my love of tennis and coaching to many players.  I can proudly say that Bishop McDevitt Boys Tennis won their first Mid Penn Division Championship in the spring of 2017.  The fall of 2018 marked my first year as Head Coach for the Girls Team.  Prior to being Head Coach, I was an Assistant Coach for several seasons.

My goal as a Tennis Coach is to instill a love of the game to all players from all levels of experience.  I focus on teaching skills and am hopeful that players will continue tennis into their adult years.  Many players have joined the tennis team without ever hitting a tennis ball.  When they have completed their first season, they are skilled and playing competitive tennis.  I believe in a “No Cut” policy and feel it is important for players to have an opportunity to play for their high school while learning the game of tennis.

I am a graduate of Villanova University with a B.S.N. in Nursing.  I am married and have 3 grown children.  I am a member of USTA and play tennis socially and competitively.  I am active in the community and am a musician in the Hershey Symphony Orchestra as well as a Board Member.  I lead a Prayer Shawl Ministry, providing knitted and crocheted blankets and shawls to those in need.  I am also an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and believe faith is an integral part of my coaching.  Other activities include icon painting, league bowling, travel, and scuba diving.

I would love to have you as a member of the Bishop McDevitt Boys or Girls Tennis Team!  Please contact me at if you have any questions.
