Jeff Weachter, Head Football Coach

Jeff Weachter enters his 23 rd year as Bishop McDevitt Head Football Coach with a career record of 217 wins – 65 losses, Nine District 3 Championships and three PIAA State Championship appearances.

He was named District 3 Coach of the Year in 2000, 2010 and 2013. Jeff was the head coach of the 2012 winning Chesapeake Bowl game which featured numerous future NFL players. He also served as an assistant coach in the 2010 Chesapeake Bowl, the 2014 Big 33 game, and the 2012 and 2016 Under Armour All American Game.

At McDevitt, he has coached over 70 players who have received Division I scholarships to play NCAA football, including seven who went on to play in the NFL: LeRon McCoy (Cardinals, Texans WR), LeSean McCoy(Eagles, Bills, Super Bowl Champion Chiefs RB), Jaimie Thomas (Colts OL), Aaron Berry (Lions CB), Cameron Artis-Payne (Cardinals, Panthers RB), Noah Spence (Buccaneers, Redskins, Saints DE), and Bryce Hall (Jets CB).

Jeff Has spoken on the Bishop McDevitt offense at the University of Notre Dame Coaches Clinic, along with several other national clinics including Nike and Glazier.

Jeff is a member of the faculty as the Physical Education Department Chairperson, and serves as Director of NCAA recruiting for all sports.
