The role of campus ministry at Bishop McDevitt High School is to foster the spiritual growth and faith life of our school community—students, faculty, and staff—through intentional programs, prayer experiences, and acts of service. Rooted in the mission of the Church, campus ministry helps the school community live out the Gospel in daily life.

Key Roles of Campus Ministry:
1. Spiritual Formation

Organizes school-wide Masses, liturgies, and prayer services

Provides opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration and Reconciliation

Leads retreats that help students encounter Christ and reflect on their personal faith journey
2. Faith Education and Evangelization

Supports and complements religious education by creating faith-enriching experiences

Offers faith-sharing groups, RCIA, and talks to deepen understanding of Catholic teaching

Encourages students to develop a personal relationship with Christ
3. Community and Service

Fosters a sense of Christian community and belonging

Organizes service projects and outreach to live out Catholic Social Teaching

Encourages student leadership in faith-based initiatives, such as the Campus Ministry Leadership Team
4. Pastoral Care

Offers a listening ear and spiritual support to students navigating challenges

Helps create a compassionate and inclusive atmosphere rooted in the dignity of every person

5. Liturgical Leadership
