Administrative Assistant, Admissions & Enrollment
This job is partly administrative and partly clerical. Position calls for a fair share of hospitality and discipline. The designated person needs to officiate and administer, as well as cater to the norms of cordiality. They need to understand, accept, and abide by the School’s philosophy and mission statement in keeping with the school’s Catholic character and Gospel values. They will assist the Director of Admissions in the administration of the school by performing a variety of complex and responsible secretarial and routine administrative support functions, and direct and coordinate the workflow and activities processed through the school’s admissions/enrollment office. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures. Employees in this classification may direct and coordinate the work of others. This job class requires in-depth knowledge of school site operations and administrative procedures, as well as a high level of secretarial skills and the ability to function independently.

High School Counselor
Under limited supervision implements counseling program designed to increase the academic, social, emotional and environmental strengths of students; assist other staff as assigned, and performs related professional and administrative duties as required.

Band Director (August 2025)
Directs and manages the overall program of high school band for the High School. Provides students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensures compliance with all state and Diocesan requirements. Plans activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition.

Substitute Teachers (All Subject Areas)
At Bishop McDevitt High School, our teachers have a profound impact on students’ lives. When they have planned or unplanned absences, we rely on skilled substitutes to fill in. We are currently looking for engaging, reliable day-to-day and long-term (30 consecutive days or more) substitute teachers to cover classes at all High School levels. In this position, you will take over for full-time teachers in their absence, carrying out their lesson plans and ensuring students have a fulfilling classroom experience. The ideal candidates will have prior substitute-teaching experience and the ability to lead the class in an orderly fashion, however prior experience is not a requirement. The most successful substitutes can count on consistent work throughout the year.
