Principal's Corner

Greetings of peace and blessings!

I am honored and humbled to serve this community rooted in faith, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child. Catholic education is more than just a curriculum—it is a call to form disciples of Christ, equipped with both knowledge and a strong moral compass. In a world often marked by uncertainty, Bishop McDevitt High School stands as a beacon of hope for all our students. We believe every child is a unique creation of God, deserving of an education that draws out their potential and prepares them to be faithful citizens and compassionate leaders.

Bishop McDevitt has a culture of high expectations and achievements grounded on four foundational pillars of faith, family, excellence, and tradition that guide us in our mission. Bishop McDevitt strives each day to provide a learning environment where students are known, loved, and inspired to grow in their faith and gifts. As an alum of Bishop McDevitt High School, I assure you that choosing Bishop McDevitt offers a blend of strong academics, moral development, and a supportive community. Bishop McDevitt emphasizes both intellectual and spiritual growth, providing a values-based education that fosters personal excellence and civic engagement. Our purpose is to equip students with the tools and knowledge necessary for success in higher education, the work force, military, and beyond.  This is done by fostering an environment that integrates faith and values into the curriculum, and teaching students about respect, responsibility, honesty, and other virtues. We emphasize discipline and structure to create a focused learning environment. Our dedicated faculty and staff work hand-in-hand with parents and parish partners to create a culture of respect, service, and academic achievement, grounded in Gospel values.  I look forward to working with your children and partnering with parents to instill faith, family, excellence, and tradition in their daily lives.

"To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice."--Proverbs 21:3
