Kelsie Maloney, Assistant Athletic Director
Kelsie Maloney was appointed to Assistant Athletic Director in the summer of 2020. In addition, she began teaching at Bishop McDevitt in the Spring, 2020. She has been the Assistant Coach for the Boy’s Soccer team since 2018.
Kelsie graduated from McDevitt in 2012 while accumulating extensive individual and team accolades in soccer during her four years at McDevitt. As a four year starter and three time team captain, she owns the school (and Mid Penn) record with 165 goals and 56 assists while leading her team to the programs only District 3 championship her senior year. In addition, she owns the single season record of 49 goals and 18 assists. She was selected as an All-State player three years, four- time Mid Penn All Star, four time Patriot News Big 11 selection, and three times named Divisional Player of the Year, and TopDrawersoccer.com Mid Atlantic Regional Top 10 recruit. Her #2 jersey is the only girl’s soccer jersey to be retired in school history. In addition to soccer, Kelsie was a three year starter with the girl’s basketball team where she was twice named to the Patriot News Big 15 Area All Star team.
Kelsie attended West Virginia University where she majored in Multi- Disciplinary Studies and had a four year standout career with the WVU Women’s soccer program under Coach Nikki Izzo- Brown. In addition to being named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer her freshman year, she helped lead WVU to four straight Big 12 Championships, four straight NCAA appearances and the NCAA Elite Eight during her senior season.
Upon graduating from WVU in 2016, Kelsie began to pursue her Master’s in Coaching at WVU. While pursuing her Master’s degree, she was named the head coach for Fairmont State during their second full season as full members of NCAA division II. Prior to taking over the Fairmont State program, Kelsie was an assistant coach and trainer for the u13/U14 girl’s team at Mountaineer United and also worked as a youth soccer trainer since 2012. She also served as a youth and high school camp instructor during her high school and college years. In 2017, Kelsie was named the Assistant Coach at Miami University (Ohio). After one season at Miami Univ, Kelsie decided to move back to Harrisburg to pursue a teaching, coaching and athletic director career.
