Welcome to the new Bishop McDevitt Website! Bishop McDevitt High School is a secondary, co-educational, Catholic high school founded in 1918 by Bishop Phillip R. McDevitt, the fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Harrisburg. We are one of seven inter-parochial high schools located within the Diocese.
Bishop McDevitt is blessed with countless gifts. The long history, strong tradition of excellence, and the mission of providing a quality, well-rounded Catholic education for the young men and women of the Greater Harrisburg Area is second to none. The dedication and commitment of the faculty and staff, many of whom are alumni, is tremendous. The deep sense of loyalty, characteristics of our friends and alumni, is outstanding. The willingness of our parents to sacrifice a great deal to provide a McDevitt Education for their sons and daughters is commendable. The energy, enthusiam, and thirst for life shown by our students is contagious.
As you browse through the information provided through our website, we hope that you will gain some insight into our school and the Bishop Mcdevitt Family. We hope your visit will be enjoyable as well as informative. Please know that we would be happy to welcome you to new campus, on 1 Crusader Way, as well.
