SAT Prep Seniors should retake the SAT Oct. 1; Juniors, in December or March when they are given here at McDevitt.

Go to www.collegeboard.org

• Under student click on SAT
• Click on Practice
• Click on Skills Insight. There you will find the three areas of competency tested by the SAT’s
• Click on one of the areas: Reading, Math or Writing
• Score bands will appear. Under each score band, students will find the skill being tested and an example of the type of question to expect. This is an excellent way of becoming familiar with the test.
• After practicing the score band questions, take the full practice test online.
• Receive your scores, check your answers.

Juniors interested in U.S. Service Academy Nominations the nomination process opens March 1, 2011 and closes October 1, 2011.

SAT Test Registration:  The on-line web-site to register for the SAT is www.sat.collegeboard.com. The Fee for the SAT Test is $49.00. For a list of all the SAT test dates please click here.

Penn State Harrisburg SAT Exam Prep Course: The course meets eight consecutive Saturdays, January 14, 2012 - March 3, 2012, 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., in the Educational Activities Building at Penn State Harrisburg.  Campus map and directions can be accessed here: http://hbg.psu.edu/visitors/campusmap.php. The $325 registration fee includes a copy of The Official SAT Study Guide and other instructional materials.  A minimum of 12 students is required to run the course.
