Yesterday, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, eight McDevitt students joined thousands of other high school students on National Signing Day to declare their intent to participate in a collegiate athletic program. Here is a list of the students, their sports and the programs they will be competing for:

On Tuesday, January 24, Noah Spence was notified that he is the recipient of the 2011 Maxwell Club National High School Player of the Year award. He will receive the award at the Maxwell Club's 75th Annual National Awards Gala at Harrah's in Atlantic City on March 2. Congratulations to the 2011 Mid Penn Keystone Division – First Team Offense: WRs Brian Lemelle and Shawn Seif, OL Pat Narus, Tyler Conde and Kyree Ross, QB Alec Werner and RB Rashad Lawson. First Team Defense: DE Noah Spence, Tariq Spence, LBs Brock Dean and Allen Holman, DBs Miles Williams and Maurice Geter. Second Team Offense: OL DeAndre Lawson, RB Andre Robinson, K Connor Maloney. Second Team Defense: DBs Darnell Holland and Khalid Carter.
Congratulations to the following boys soccer players for making the Mid Penn Capital Division All-Star Team: First Team selections were Connor Maloney and DJ Polocheck and 2nd Team selections were Austin Maloney and John Hare. A special note that Connor Maloney was also named Division Player of the Year and made the All-State Soccer team in the process.
Congratulations to field hockey players Maddie Brown and Maddie Eichman. Both earned 1st team Mid Penn Capital division all-stars.
Junior Sara Miller who placed 7th overall at AA District Girls Championship race and also medaled at AA States 40th place out of 288 runners.
