2010 Football Program Ads

Tommy Mealy, Athletic Director, is now accepting advertisements for the 2010 Football Game Day Media Guide. Letters and forms were recently mailed out. Physicals for Fall 2010 Sports

All student-athletes participating in a Fall 2010 sport must have a Physical completed for the Fall 2010 season.  Physicals will be offered at Bishop McDevitt High School on Monday, July 26, 2010, and Monday, August 9, 2010, beginning at 9:00am.  Physicals by a family Doctor must be dated less than sixty days before the season begins (i.e. after July 1, 2010).  All students must have medical insurance.  If you do not have adequate coverage, please see the athletic director immediately to discuss available options.

Packet 2 (only pages 1-6)

These packets must be completed and returned to the Athletic Director at Bishop McDevitt High School.

Youth Girl's Basketball Camp

On June 14 - 17 , 2010, McD Girl's Basketball head coach, Sharon Woodward and her coaching staff, hosted the Youth Girl’s Basketball Camp at Bishop McDevitt High School.  During the morning sessions, girls in 4th - 6th grades improved their basketball game and learned new skills.  They were followed in the afternoon by young ladies in 7th - 9th grade.  At the end of the camp, the following awards were given:

Outstanding 3-Point Shooting, Knock-out, & MVP: Briana Breski

Outstanding Foul-Shooting: Maureen Hartwell

Most Improved: Bernadette “BB” Bratina       

Outstanding Offense: Sara Burke     

Outstanding Defense: Kamie Hetrick

Outstanding Sportsmanship: Angel Navarro

Outstanding Court Awareness: Kolbe Gelbaugh

WGAL Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Yaneshia Gaston who was chosen to be WGAL's "Athlete of the Week."  This honor is a result of her outstanding performance at the District Championship this past weekend.  Winning four gold medals, Yaneshia helped the girls track team place 2nd overall.
